What do you guys do for background lighting when shotting your tanks? Do you just use the light from the tank and use only that for light in the room? Or do you use orther light sources?
I personally use only the light from the tank. I've found that having other lights on in the house can cause reflections on the glass which I try and avoid.
Some people use remote flashes to shoot down into the tank. I personally haven't done this, but you may be able to eliminate flare/reflections caused by the glass if you are aiming the flash top down.
