You could call up animal cruelty on this place and make out a complaint.

Wouldn't do a thing. And as we already pointed it out, you are actually being nicer to the rat by killing it before giving it to the snake.

Not necessarily. Just because you sever the spinal cords doesn't necissarily mean it stops moving instantly. It can still have nerves that make the rat/mouse have small movements.

sorry, but you have a problem with a mouse getting killed for food, but you don't have a problem with treating a puffer or scorpionfish as 'disposable', i.e. knowing full well they grow too large for your 10gal or whatever tank and that you'll just get rid of it when you're off to college in a year? i guess fish aren't as furry and cute.

2 cents. guess i own fish, so different to me...

i wasnt arguing with anyone ,and i dont want to, im not killing a 2 inch scorpionfish, and its not disposable, i just cant bring it to college in 2 yearrs

so just becuase im going to college, means i cant have a cool fish that wont grow to more than 4 inches ? and when i go, somone else will want him and will most likeley have a good home for him

and this thread is about a rat getting his head smashed against a metal door 5 times, and i didnt like seeing it, i didnt think i was going to have to argue about it:rolleye1:

I'd say it's probably not the best idea from a customer service standpoint to be doing that stuff out in the open because I think there are plenty of people who might not want to see that. And if he didn't even kill it (although the scratching and whatnot can definitely happen after it's dead) I'd say that's certainly something that many people might find disturbing if they're not used to it and don't even have any warning that it's coming.

I guess all I have to say on this subject is:
IT'S A FREAKIN RAT!!!

Thats what Michael Vick said about his dogs ;) Not saying this is the same thing at all, and to be honest, I'm not sure what side of the fence Im on on this one, so Ill just stay out of it :)

Well putting a fish in a 10 gallon tank until it grows to big and have to give it away to someone because we are on our way to college and putting the fish threw transition again is cruel also, so MSU get off your horse and yes what he is saying and the other people in the thread you started about the puffer there is no difference. How many fish have you killed because of you want to put something in a place it doesnt belong? Two years get rid of it?

But then again its only a fish right? So what your are saying if you want a Dog before you go away to college it is okay to have then when you leave to give it away? Or a cat? A lizard? Or is that different? Because a fish is a fish, so once you get your stuff right don't attack people for doing there job, you might not have liked it but there are a lot of people that don't like the fact you want to have a "cool" fish for two years before you do to college. Then get rid of it.... What a joke!

pgaschulz

PS As for calling animal cruelity, well that is funnier than anything putting fish in a tank that are taken from the ocean? Classic

none of my fish have died?
i already have a dog, my parents are keeping it
im bringing my lizard to college

all i wanted to say was i dont like to see an animal get his head slammed on a door 5 times!!!

do you like seeing tht, you probably do

and im sure someone will take the scorpion off my hands when i have to leave

I forgot I was dealing with a kid that someone reminded me about in a Private Message, come back when you grow up....
