Bad Fish

Ok, so the Basslet decided to take over the whole tank again. I thought everything had settled down, but I was wrong. The wife called me earlier today and told me the Basslet had chased the Jawfish out of his cave again, and was chasing him around the tank. So I wasn't real happy when I got home. He's been a real problem for a while. Now he's sitting in the QT, likely to be heading out somewhere else soon. The bad part is I had to tear half of the DT apart to get him out today. But I was so mad at him when I got home I really didn't care. I guess I should decide if I want to re-arrange anything while it's torn apart anyway. Now would be a good time to.

I hate when that happens but it will. I had a flame angel that was fine for a few months then decided to start to pick on my Acans so out he went to a new home. I think it is fun to change things up every once and a while. Good luck

Would adding more rock now upset the balance in the tank? I had put some in the QT a several weeks ago for a different project, and there is still quite a bit in there. Would it hurt anything if I put some of that rock in the DT?

Dont quote me on this but i haven't heard reports of "adding" rock causing damage to a system but it might make the tank look more cluttered depending how much your looking to add.

If it is cured/cycled rock, which it sounds like it is, there should be no problem.

Bad news. The Jawfish didn't make it. He had some major damage to his tail from the Basslet. I knew something wasn't right because he hadn't ate anything since the attack. Today he was out of his cave, swimming very erratically. I wanted to take him out this morning, but the Basslet is still in the QT. So I had no place to put him. He dies shortly after I got home this afternoon. Now I'm down to just a pair of Clowns.

Sorry for the loss. I had a damsel that went AWOL on me and decided to shred on my small clam. I was so mad at it that he got the ultimate swirly treatment.
