Bad readings with Hanna Alk Checker Might be another bad batch

So I noticed a few of my sps tips and pocillopora were burning over the last few weeks but all levels showed to be in order. Tested parameters and are as follows:
Calcium 450 Salifert
Magnesium 1400 Salifert
Alkalinity 9.1 Hanna Checker
Phosphates 0.02 Hanna Checker
Salinity 1.025 Refractometer
Temp 77.0-77.5F
Nitrates 3-4 Salifert

I thought to myself sps burning at the tips seems like HIGH ALK so I decided to double check the Hanna Alkalinity Checker LOT 6022 EXP 09/2017 against a RED SEA ALK test and a SALIFERT ALK Test.

Hanna Checker Readings 9.18

Salifert Reading 11.2
Red Sea Reading 11.4

If you have this batch you might wanna double check there's a possibility I got a bad one but this is the second time now.

did this batch come with the green "passed" sticker outside?

and did you store the solution bottle standing up? It was the cap that was making solution go bad in the previous batches. Hanna said to keep all bottles standing. I don't leave it inside the Hanna box anymore

here's what Hanna said:

Hanna-Teri

If you put your lot # in the link and it comes back ok, it is in the new bottles and will be fine. Even if working ok, and comes back as bad lot number, get the replacement. The problem is a chemical reaction to the cap once the bottle is open.

As people called with problems, we exchanged them, just as we would any of our product line.
We just try to do what we can for the customer. As the calls became more frequent (and this thread appeared) we learned it was wider spread and stopped the shipments of them from our facility.
We didn't know exactly what the problem was until recently. We were checking the reagents, the way they were made, the contents/ingredients and they kept coming back fine. It turns out the problem is a chemical reaction with the cap once the bottle is open.
We have started notifying distributors and retail outlets. There is only so much we were able to do with Amazon and other outlets.

I think that was for only the old bottles, as the foil under the cap was contaminating the test. I think the new reagent bottles don't have that.
