Balano eating peppermint shrimp?

Found my balanophyllia puffed up this morning. At first, I thought it had a fish in its mouth. Looks like it either has a peppermint shrimp in its mouth or the shrimp's molting.

Anyone know if I should try to extract the carcass from the balano? or will it just dissolve it?

I'd leave it alone. I've seen my Lords eat some wild stuff and they always came out fine. They can expel anything that isn't suitable or digestible, and I imagine dendros can do the same.

Thanks. I just checked on it and it had expelled it. The balano seems to have returned to its usual daytime shape.

Cool pix, I have the same thing happen to my cleaner shrimp and Dendro. $21.99 GONE!

Dendro sting is the one thing my serpent star will not mess with in my tank, guess it doesnt want to end up like that shrimp.
