Ok, looks like the club has really come up with some great topics, some of which are in the process of being put together into meeting presentations.
At this point it, there is still a question of which topic will be ready in time for June.
I'd like to encourage everyone to visit the links posted above and see if there is a topic you'd like to help put together.
I know sometimes people can be shy and think it would be better if they let someone else do the work, but if we don't become involved, these really cool ideas will never become a reality!
How can you help?
- If you're the ultimate expert on a particular subject(or even if not), you could offer to do a talk. No hecklers allowed!
- If you know someone you/we could invite to do a presentation on your topic, that would be cool too. Let us know!
- If you and some friends would like to get together to research a topic to present as a team, even more fun!
- If you have experience with a particular cool DIY, and can lead a group through the process, we can make that into one of the meetings as well.
You get the idea, and I'm sure you can think of other ways to help also.

Ok now... What is BAR all about?
"BAR seeks to promote, foster and encourage education and appreciation for the ethical husbandry and propagation of marine life."
This is the guiding principle and value behind our club's existence and the activities we choose to promote.
Club meetings and events are one way we can achieve this. Sharing useful information in our forums is another way.
Sure, we all want to know where we can save a few dollars on our next purchase. We all like to "get stuff" at swaps. But our club was founded for much more than "getting stuff'.
I suppose "getting tons of stuff" at swaps can help to foster appreciation of marine life. But here's a tip... you don't have to wait for frag swaps to trade with people. We can have our trades as well as have cool meetings that focus on all the great topics that everybody has suggested so far.
Great ideas supporting the club mission... time to start making them happen
