Base rock

I will be starting a new (larger) tank in the near future. What "base" type rock have you guys used that I can pick up at the local stone store. I will be placing live rock on top and figure it would seed itself.

You can probably get live rock on this forum to use as base rock cheaper than you can get base rock at the LFS. Usual asking price is $1-2 a pound.

I have a garbage can full of clean base rock.

Yep I got alot of my rock for my new tank at 2.25 per # and I am now selling some of mine (75# worth) for $2 per #. Why go base rock when you can get some very nice rock for real cheap here.
