Batteries

How do you advanced amateurs/Pros handle keeping up with batteries?
I have a D70 and a D200 that has the battery grip..
If I dont use them constantly I wind up having a battery go totally dead and it will not recharge.
This happens more in the D200, It seems to favor one battery then the other goes completely dead and will not take a charge..
I dont really use either one alot due to work schedule and life issues.
Can I just leave these batteries on the charger till I am ready or will that kill them also..
Down to 5 batteries for the D70 and 3 for the D200...

Are they aftermarket batteries? I have three Nikon batteries. I keep one in my D700, one in my D300 and one in a charger. I don't ever let them go completely dry, but as each goes down a few notches, I just move what's in the charger to it and put that in the charger. All batteries are over three years old and hold a charge. I've never seen one go down just sitting in the camera.

They are all aftermarket, only have one real Nikon for the D70...
Lenmar, Kastar, and Wasabi Power are the brands
Guess most don't let theirs sit as long as mine do,Lately I might go 3-4 months before I pick them up, then everything is dead...
