Battery Backup option

I just finished my DIY 10 gallon sump on my 55 gallon reef tank, a 10 gallon was all I could fit under my stand. Still having issues with overflowing while simulating a power outage, I am also using an eshopps overflow. I have anti siphon holes and I still have to play around with setting the initial sump water level. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone uses anything like this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/apc-back-ups-450va-battery-back-up-system-black/5554800.p?skuId=5554800
for a return pump in case of a power outage.

I went on amazon and got a tripp light battery back up for my build. I only use the power head on the back up side and everything else on the surge side. I've had no power losses yet but spring thunderstorm season is here...............:bounce3:

Even with battery backup on the return pump, I would never trust a sump with less capacity than the tank's overflow volume. The return pump can still fail. Have you measured the overflow volume of the tank? How much more than 10 gallons is it?
