beefing up 6055

Hey Roger,
You've probably hear this often, you're a Tunze encylopedia...you know that?

I want to modify a 6055 with all the parts that will make it current. What do you recommend? Sorry if my question is vague.

Can you give me a baseline of when you bought the 6055? One that is 1 year old won't need as much as one that is 3 years old. They were small incremental changes.

The basics are-

Jan 2008, drive unit changed to fixed propeller, no free play on magnet.
Aug 2010, disk 6055.740 introduced, reduces click on start up, at the same time the propellers were changed to blue but this is only cosmetic, the white ones have the same construction, same plastic.
Nov 2010, silence clamp added

Basically, you could need a 6055.700 drive unit, 6055.740 disk (I recommend 0220.707 to remove the old one or a comparable tool, these sorts of picks are available at Lowes or Home Depot or Sears). 6025.650 silence clamp.
