What were did every one who went, think about the tour?

Personally, I didn't see anthing spectacular, they seem to be using about the same things
home aquarists use, just a lot bigger. I guess I was expecting more high tech.

They are apparently adding Ozone to their water, the ozone unit was as big as one of those
large breaker boxes that were hanging from the wall.

I did like the DIY trickle filters (with the flow rates used trickle is a relative term!!) made from
trash cans and plastic milk crates.

I was gong to ask if I could get starts of the Phytoplankton and Zooplankton they
are growing, but the tour was over and our guide was gone before I realized it.

I enjoyed it. Surprisingly enough, it seems like most places with aquariums just use the same thing as hobbyists but on a larger scale. There was a lot of DIY stuff that caught my eye. One of which was there usage of stengthening beams. There were a few tanks with metal pipes to give the tank strength, but they attached some things to them to dangle them in the water. I'll have to remember that for later.

I enjoyed the tour and want to thank Paul w and anyothers that helped with setting up the tour for us.

It was a relief to see most equipment and filtration was simple diy. I was assuiming to see lots high tech filtration.
Just another example that good water quailty can be achieved at low cost.
I also noticed they made all of the food. mostly shrimp,fish,etc cut into bits.
I assume they were making there own flake food.
There were folgers coffe containers labled flake food.
wish i had asked if they were making it and what they were using and how.
