I was doing my usual bragging about this site last night to members on my local forum. I brought up the idea that I liked this site because of the experts and that I have learned alot from Rh's articles(to name one--there are many)
It was stated last night that RH had left reef central---any truth in this?

Yes, according to him he felt he served his original purpose. He sometimes checks back in (at least I see him online sometimes)

> 50,000 posts will lead to some burnout eventually! But yeah, Randy is the man. You can see him post occasionally, but he no longer "monitors" the Reef Chemistry forum like he used to.

He is officially gone, but you are still in good hands here. :)

that thought never crossed my mind---this is why I have joined and participate actively in this site. I was trying to do some recruiting on the other site for this site.

One thing to mention is the way the experts handle misconceptions. It is good to know that it is recognized that there are many misconceptions out there picked up honestly by intelligent people.---and this is the positive way misconceptions are and should be handled on this site.

Randy is not actively evolved not only on this website but any website and is no longer writing articles. He comes here if I ask him to, if there appears to be a special need. I have done this a couple of times.

We have a lot of good guys here

If Randy is no longer writing articles who is going to take his place in Reef Keeping Magazine?

I don't even know who he is, who is he?

a real pioneer in water chemistry---there is a post stuck at the first of this forum with links to some of his articles.

I am not a fan of two part dosing systems so I use his article on solving alkalinity and calcium problems like a bible

Actually, Randy has a few in waiting but the magazine scaled back for the summer.

I'm sure you will see more RHF articles come Fall. :)

Dave12678, goto the top of this forum and look at "Reef chemistry articles". he was a chemist, scientist, and very accomplished gentleman.

before they were deleted from the the site, there was a list of patents and copyrights Randy had acheived that was pages long.

i fortunatly copied (about 2 reems of paper) everything that was available by Dr. Randy Holmes-Farley back in 2005, when i first found RC. :D

you can try "search" and see if theyre still available.

best to you and yours, have a great weekend!
