Beldts this Wednesday Night

It's just all around a good time. I hardly ever drink, when I'm out, and I still have a blast. Jeff, and Jack are right on bringing everyone together. Thanks to this club I have saved a lot of time and money not just on this Hobby, but on a lot others as well, computers, Cars, plumbing, electric, and on and on. Knowing the person and trusting them is a big deal.

Come out, you will not be disappointed.

Just to clarify. I am kind of at a loss as to the purpose for the meeting. Maybe I just need to show up and see whats happening. I would like to get my son up to speed on reefkeeping but since he is 15, I don't think the beer drinking in in his future... at least for another year or two ;o)

If my 8 year old is back from vacation he will be joining me. I don't even have to bribe him with the pizza and soda, he likes the hobby as well. I would have to say I have learned more tricks of the hobby from friends around here than any speaker I have listened to. The funny thing is the speakers seems to always confirm what you hear. I have always found that a little informal event is a way to meet the experienced hobbyists who don't really like to hang out at the formal events. I use to like the good old MASI days where you learned more from the people hanging out in the hallways than the newbies in the actual meetings.

Your welcome to show up just let us know who you are so we can introduce you to everyone.

Oh yeah, I brought a 4 year old last time. He was wired with a slushie.

Needless to say, I now have him on the "no slushie" diet.

does this include salt and sale items?

I did ask about it.
everything store wide 20% off regular price including "salt" which brings it down to just as good as any other salt sale around town.

Is there a formal discussion scheduled or is it more of an informal hang out and talk fish? Discounts are great but I am looking to learn more about practical applications of the hobby. When I build my system almost 20 years ago, only the high end systems had good skimmers, sand was in the expreimantal phase and my car had square wheels. I am really looking forward to moving into the 21st century.

I am replacing my 120 tank this weekned and had some questions about setup and would like to steal some braincells so I can avoid mistakes. Would this be a good venue or would I do better hanging round the lfs.

I'll make this short and simple. Come out and meet us. Ask every question you have, our answer's shall be the proof. If knowledge is power......Then SLASH is a very powerful group of people. :)

Exactly, You will learn more hanging around these guys than you could from any lecture, or book. This is a group of people who love this hobby, and enjoy meeting others who share the same passion for saltwater. And when combined with the concept of friendship, you can't get any better. Come on out, meet your fellow hobbyist. You will be in for a good time. And a lot of info.

For those who are attending this event, If you do make it to belts you will find my OH SO LOVING wife there in my place. (Not @ the meeting/pizza just belts). She will be sporting my SLASH logo T-shirt and will be asking advise from those she knows in this hobby. She's out to buy some goodies for the new tank  I'm sure I'll love her every choice :lol2: Oh thats just to funny right their!! :D

I know what I'm going to recommend her........

"that puffer? no, I'm pretty sure he's reef safe. 240 gallons is plenty for that. Heck I kept one in my 30 gallon tank full of sps. He's about a foot long now, I think that's max size. They're model citizens too!"

I can't wait to see this............

all the people you've trashed, and you are going to let us suggest what to bring home for you?
I'm sure capo will have a few good suggestions.

Did something fall on your head?

Does the term "Payback" mean anything to you?

 I don't understand?? Why would anyone want to be cruel to such a nice guy like me :)

WARNING!! Make no deals with my wife. She will hand over your soul to her Daddy AKA: The Devil, Lusifer, Satan or pure Evil what ever you may know him by. Cross her in a bad way and your screwed. Don't ask me for help, I'm a chicken, hear me crow watch me run.

Oh great, I feel so much better now............NOT!!!

You don't want her Jack, She was a blonde when we first met, Uh...like 11 years ago. Now she's just the plain ol' DIRTY dish water blonde mom.

Too young for me and I am chasing a redhead from my past. She may end up bringing a Moray home Beldts though, or a Boxfish or a Clown Trigger. :D

I fear nothing. She won't bring home a fish due to she understands that the tank needs time to mature, IF she buys anything it would be and invert (snails, crabs or shrimp) or a coral of sorts. So nanny nanny boo boo  :D

Good luck with the Redhead chasing, be careful Jack @ your age you need to pace yourself. Ya don't want to tucker out to quick :D.
