Bengali won't school any more? HELP

They have probably reached sexual maturity and are more likely to pair off than school at this point. Depending on if a pair develops, you may need to remove the other bangaii cardinals in the tank to prevent aggression.

Cardinals don't school it is a common misconception, they are solitary and only school for protection in the ocean

Which is fine the one who is barely a 10th larger swims about towards top the others dominate the sides, Abd later I'm bringing my clowns home

The thing is: you can't 'make' a fish do anything...they're following their natural instinct.

If two have paired up, and you don't want any aggression, your only option is to take one out. They can be very aggressive in certain situations...

How large is your tank?

What we are saying is there may have been no aggression yet, but if two have paired up, there will be aggression towards the third in the near future.

If this is a 20g tank, there won't be enough space for the third to hide. They are normally out in the open.

If there are 3, and 2 become strongly paired they will quickly kill the odd fish out. Within a few days or less once the aggression starts. Be prepared to move quickly so that you can save the 3rd fish.

The paired fish will stay very close I each other from then on out.

lol u want them to school right? heres a tip.. if the tank is big enough add some sort of threatening fish (i don't mean something that will tear them apart or beat them up just something that cruises around a bit) like my cardinals would school only when my square back anthias was around. no they didn't really stress.. they ate fine and did normal things
but if your tank is big enough why not have a go.. after the anthias was sold off i added a painting beside the tank and the cardinals would still school lol
