What do you guys think about this skimmer? Is it worth using on my 125g reef? Also how exactly do you set it up? And what size pump? Any input is appreciated!
From what I've read the hose and airline on the bottom are for a water pump and air pump (what sizes?) and the two on top are to send water back to the sump?? Does this skimmer go into the sump or just to a submersible pump in the sump?
I've got 2 of them in a box someplace in my fish room. I got them about 1990. I think I used a rio 3500 for the pump. No air pump needed. Air is pulled down through a venturi. They worked pretty well as I remember. I've since gone with in-sump skimmers to prevent the possibility of an overflow in the living room.
I also had one 25 years ago and there almost impossible to adjust. I was constantly fiddling with it and they never really get dialed in. I would look into getting something else as there are so many new inexpensive options. Where are you located?

I've actually been running an sca302 skimmer for about 5 years and I'm more or less happy with it. Only reason I asked was because I got the Berlin and a smaller unmarked skimmer in a bulk deal and was wondering if the Berlin was as awesome as it looks. The overflow issue is a deal breaker for me (that's why I don't use a remote jug for skimmate on the 302 anymore). Thanks for the advice guys
