Best 150w HQI Bulbs?

Hey All!
I am replacing my 9 month old 150w 20k bulbs (unknown manufacturer, came from odyssea ) and want to know which bulb will last the longest and give me the best light. I have two HQIs over a 46 gallon bow, growing xenia and leathers now, but would like to grow SPS & LPS in future :rollface:

I would like to drop temperature to 14,000k and am thinking about either USHIO or Phoenix. I need to replace soon, these bulbs are cheaply made (as anyone can and probably will tell me). Thanks!

I have the same question as I will most likely be using 150 watt hqi on my 40 breeder.

Haha, yes long time reader first time poster I am.

But I found a good deal on hamilton 14k bulbs. From what I read people are happy with them. Do they last long and is there anything better?

I don't have anything to compare to, but I'm very happy with my Phoenix 14ks. Been running almost 5 months now.

I'll give this a bump, cause I too am trying to pick out my first 150bulb, I know my current one on my 40breeder looks wayyyy to bright/white the purple on the rocks are almost reflecting light

I purchased it used, and was told it was a 10k, so I guess I should try a 14k?

I am currently using the Pheonix 14k and I love it. Will prob. replace it with the same lamp as they are only $50. I tried a USHIO 14k and it is MUCH whiter...alomst yellow. I did not like it at all. I let it "burn in" for a month and still didnt get the look I was going for.
