Best 150Watt HQI bulb

I need to replace my bulb on my sunpod fixture and was wondering which brand and type is best for sps. The tank is a 29gal biocube. Right now it comes stock with a 14K or something and i was wondering if a 20K ushio was any good.

I use the Giesemann 14.5k but I hear nothing but good things with the Phoenix 14k

I run the Phoenix as well, Love it. I have ran 20k's and 10k's and love the color and growth of the 14k bulbs...

Phoenix 14k are a great bulb. Now I use the same in a 250W bulb since I upgraded my lights You wont be dissapointed. -Steve

I love the Phoenix, i have also tried 10ks and I love the color of my corals with the 14k Phoenix

If I was still running 150w HQI I'd still be running Phoenix 14k's.

I have the 150w ushio 20k. I run it on an elect. ballast but it's really not that blue, it looks more like 14K to me. I posted a pic of my tank in one of the recent "ideal flow rate for SPS" threads. I'm going to try the phoenix one next.

I'm currently running the Reeflux 10k on a Sunpod 150w HQI and like it. I ran a Hamilton 14k and like the color but not the growth. I really grew tired of the Phoenix 14k color. Made everything a shade of blue.

Phoenix, love the color as the blue really enhanced my tri-color sps along with several others that I was having color issues with.
