I have a lumenmax 3 with the ss ballast. The horizontal spread is wide enough for my 40 breeder. I would say you should be okay. There might be a bit of dimming at the edges but I doubt you'll have rock touching the glass anyway.
I tested the Cayman against the LM3 with an Apogee Par meter - PHX 250 bulb, same ballast - and the Cayman puts off higher PAR ratings than the Lumen Max 3.
Hamilton and SLS use the same quick disconnect plug so your ballast should plug right into the Cayman Sun.
