Best algae for feeding tangs?

I have been growing ulva, gracilaria, codium, fern caulerpa, prolifera caulerpa, lentifolia grape caulerpa, dictoya, and a few other species of algae. The goal was to have a sustainable food source for when I get either a tomini, a kole or a scopas tang. Is it over kill to try to grow this many types? I was thinking of reducing it to ulva, lentifolia, and gracilaria. Along with prepared foods would these 3 be enough to keep tangs happy and healthy? Should I continue on adding species of algae making my grow out tank look like a spring mix salad?

Is all macro in the display tank or do you have a refugium? If no refugium, then it would be necessary to grow a sustainable source of macro. With grazers in the tank, that can not be assured.
Grow your Spring Garden and see what is left after they graze.

PS. In my 135G lagoon, Caulerpa Paspoides (one of four feather Caulerpa) is the favorite to eat followed by Ulva.

The macro are in their own 20L or 29 gallon tanks plumbed together. Its a coral and algae growout system. Just wondering if I should keep it as diverse as possible or concentrate on a few good species.

Mono cultures work best, to produce the most. Grow what the tangs like. Ulva is indestructible. I have found that most feather Caulerpa are palpable and fast growers. I like Caulerpa Paspoides.
