Best Anemone / Clown Fish Combo for Hosting?

Hey everyone, I am starting up a new 30 gallon FOWLR tank for my office. I am starting from the ground up so I have no other considerations to account for. I'll build the other live stock around this one thing I have always wanted but have been unable to obtain at my home tank. I want a clown fish hosting an anemone, period. Anything else I'll design around that.

What is the single best anemone / clown fish combo that will (hopefully) result in some hosting? My best guess at the moment is a maroon clown with carpet anemone?

Thanks in advance for any and all tips.

I've had the basic Ocellaris clown fish in my home tank for several years. I like him but I'm not attached to that species. I mentioned the Maroon Clown in my first post because it seems every time I see one of them they seem to be doing barrel rolls in whatever anemone they have nearby. My local LFS has a maroon clown with a carpet anemone and it basically rolls in it like a dog.

I wouldn't count on maroons going into a carpet anemone - they are very particular towards their natural hosts BTAs which is a better choice for that tank size anyway

30 gal is I think to small for both of those. Do you have a favorite type of clown that you prefer?

It really depends on the tank shape. With a square or near square footprint tank and not too much rocks 30 gallon can be enough for a pair of maroons and a BTA. I actually had breeding pairs of maroons in 20 gallon tanks with no issues. If they have an anemone they won't leave it much, especially not without need (like chasing other fish away)

Right now I have percula pairs in 10 gallon tanks and they hardly ever leave their anemones. Interestingly the two pairs I have in tiny tanks with anemones have grown significantly, while one pair I have in a larger tank without anemone has grown significantly less. So the small tank size is not stunning their development.

Though if you want anything else in the tank I would rather go with percula or ocellaris instead of maroons. Though these prefer the trickier carpet anemones or H. magnifica.
I would also keep clownfish only in pairs, never alone.
