Best anemone for Clarkii?

What would be the best anemone for my pair of Clarkii? right now the LFS has white sebae, BTA and LTA all around $45-$50. I have a good sized condi right now that I am using to "test" my water before I spend $50 (the condi was $15)
Opinions?

There are no "white" hosting anemones. Any anemone that naturally hosts clowns is photosynthetic, and would only be white because it's been stressed badly enough to lose its symbiotic zooxanthellae algae and become "bleached." Sometimes a bleached animal can be nursed back to health, but do your homework before purchasing an anemone to be sure that you've got the proper equipment and environment in which your anemone can thrive.

What type of lighting do you have? What size tank is it? What else is in the tank? Where do you keep your water parameters?

Redvipe- The condi WILL go before I add another. Like I said I'd rather test my tank on a cheap one first.

GSMguy- My tank is 29G and I have 192W of power compacts. S

Slakker- I read through the Anemone FAQ and feel throughly edjucated in anemones, they are not really white, and not sold as white sebaes, just sold as sebaes but have a brownish/white apearence with big purple tips.

clarkii are notorious for loving anemones to death but they do love sebae aka h. crispa

im pretty sure we are both kicked out of sacremento for good:lol:

yes, I've had clarkii for about a month now. I know they get 'freakin gigantic and I'd return them and switch to black ocellaris but thier personality is just too cool to give up. They'll play tag with zooanthid polyps that have fallen off and then put them into random holes in my LR. Can't give that up :)

It's good that you're doing your reading...but I think you'll find plenty of people who have had anemones for 5, 6, 20 years and still don't feel thoroughly educated...they're kind of mysterious little buggers.
