best blu-ray discs

There was a really good one, can't remember the name...."Debbie Does...something".... I think it was a city.... A real artsy film.
 
Piranha 3D is a good flick. It has some of the artsy elements that Capt mentions plus fish! And gore! what more could you ask for?
 
I need to do this. I've had 2 blue ray players for over a year and have yet to watch a blu ray disc. I got them because I could play DVD's and stream netflix, but haven't upgraded my netflix account for blu-ray discs.
 
300 and Avatar are both great. The Thin Red Line is also very good, beautiful shots of the landscape. Any Blue Planet and Planet Earth are awesome with Blu-Ray. They were my first purchase when I got my player. Also, Inception is pretty good. I haven't watched Gladiator on Blu-Ray yet, but I would think that would be good too.
 
Almost forgot, all 3 Transformers movies are awesome on Blu-Ray!!! Me and my kids watch them all usually every other month or so.
 
The Planet Earth series is a MUST HAVE! They cover a lot of beautiful landscapes and animals that are out of the usual specials too :)

Good for more than a few hours of entertainment :)
 
I sold tvs and installed them at best buy for 2.5 years. When ever we wanted to grab peoples attention we would pop in a pixar movie. (Up, Walle, Kung fu Panda)etc. There is a documentary called Baraka which I believe is still the highest video quality on blu-ray. More adult movies: The new Star Trek, Iron Man, Dark Knight, Black Hawk Inception. Just to name a few. My favorite audio demos were Master and Commander, and Saving Private Ryan. =)

I was thinking this as well. I read a bunch of online reviews that stated that when they "remastered" the original 3 Star Wars movies they also remade them! They redid most of the CGI and it really took away from the overall film. :( This is why I have not bought them yet.
