Best encrusters

Looking for some nice encrusting non- branching recommendations. I need to fill some spaces but do not want any branchers.

Nice, but how do you frag an encrusting coral that's growing on your rock?

Not SPS, but cool encruster. Cyphastrea, sorry about the actinic. Normally has greenish flesh with reddish polyps. I have an other variety that has a purple base that is very cool.

+1 for mystic sunset. My fav encrusting monti, Sorry, I don't have a pic my lights just turned off. It grows pretty fast too.

You could get a sps that is a VERY slow brancher...The GARF purple bonsai is known to be a sps that encrusts as much as it can, before it starts branching. Heres mine when I got it 8/3/12, and a picture from 5/22/13

In 9 months, the branches have not grown at all, although, I do have a third .5" branch developing off to the side thats not in the recent pic. But still, all the growth in 9 months has been encrusting. Its like a cool putple/green polyp monti =)

Other corals (example shown) have grown branches significantly in less of a time period, so I know my conditons are good. The bonsai is just supposed to be a slow grower if you give it some space to encrust (mine is starting to encrust off the rock onto my

That would definitely work, but the poster above said he did this every two weeks. Doesn't seem very practical for a large rock in your display tank with several corals growing on it. That's why I was wondering.

sunset/reverse sunset is probably the brightest green/orange
mystic sunset for red/blue
jedi mind trick for nice mixture of colors and rims
