Best food for Imperator Angel?

At long last I got my Imperator Angel! A stunning adult specimen! I just want to make sure I feed him everything he needs. I've got a variety of things to try, but was just wondering if there is anything specific they need in their diet? And I was curiuous what you Imperator owner's fed yours. Thanks in advance!

Angel Formula is important because it has the sponge in it that they like so much

My angel wont touch angel formula it loves mysis shrimp and red sea weed ......go figure

imeprators are really prone to hole in the head disease from poor nutrition and water quality, so consider it more importand this fish gets a varied diet MORE than you have ever done for you other fish. i dont mean to scare you but i am sure you dont want a fish that in 6 months looks like to took a mini melon baller to its head. i feed mine: mysis, hikari angel, chopped organic shrimp squid mussels clam scallops etc., green and red seaweed, peas, spectrum pelleted food, and i soak everything in soe soecon, marine c, and occationally i also use garlic. go bonkers while their taste for foods is still broad and you will have great success!

Dry: New Life Spectrum pellets, Formula-One Flakes

I feed three times a day.

You better get your Angel to start eating angel formula soon. There are two companies making it, Ocean Nutrition and Hikari, have you tried both?

How does ON Angel Formula compare to Sally's "Angel and Butterfly Diet"? So far that's all I've been able to find around here.

I have the Hikari Angel food and he eats that. I have spectrum pellets which he has not eaten yet. I also feed mysis, krill, & prime reef. I've only had him a couple of days though. And he picks stuff off the LR all day long so I'm sure he's finding some good stuff on it.

Most Angels *love* spectrum pellets. I am sure yours will in a few days, it's main ingredient is krill and yours eats krill already. I soak them for a few minutes (using the tank water), and when Emperor comes to the feeding corner, I drop them in one by one, he will eat them clean.

Hi ,
I also have an an impersonator for a month. it eats like a horse. i feed it krill to bring out color, goldfish pellets floating type and large size dried food pellets especially a brand called sure. I do have a problem though it been bugged by my larger Koran angelfish another beautiful specimen. I believe there just isnt a perfect situation in a saltwater tank.
