"Best of" FO's (since we don't get TOTM's)

Hey guys,

As long as I can remember I don't think there has ever been a FO or FOWLR TOTM. Not that I am complaining - this is "REEF" central after all, and the vast majority of members are reefers, but I thought it would be cool if we could have something celebrating the best FO or FOWLR.

So why not post pics and a bit of info about either your FO / FOWLR - or other peoples that you particularly like

Only wish I had something to post that would qualify................

I'll go first I guess.....

Here is my 125 gallon FOWLR (I also have 2 BTA and some cleaner shrimp)
50 gallon sump/refugium
40" tall DIY stand

Now I've had this anemone for about 4 years now. I transferred it to my FOWLR when I broke my reef down last summer. Since then, the anemone has bleached out. However, its been eating and growing just fine, and I'm hoping that it will begin to regain its color again over time.

The only shot I could get of my flame was with the flash on...

Jim, I think I have complemented you before on your blue face, and general set up - but I'll say it again..... it looks great!

cloudjockey - nice size tank, nice in-wall effect - what you got in there.

I suppose I could post a pic of mine.... I'll take a few later.... its a 240, and since there are no corals to speak of in it yet, I suppose technically it is a FOWLR

cool...... often toyed with that idea..... the idea of easy maintenance does it for me.....

how big are your lions? do you literally have ONLY lions? how long is your tank running? How big are they?

My own tank is a bit of a disaster already....... I spent months planning it, then rushed the end and now..... lets just say I'm not as happy as I had hoped to be.

yep, just 5 lion only, nothing else. They are all about 9" - 11" long. Problably 14" when they spread there fins out. It's be set up for about 2 years now. The 120 is new, it only has two fish. triggers.

cool - I remember a few yrs back Fmarini had a pretty cool lion fish tank.

do you find it very in-active? I have often toyed with the idea (inspired by Fmarini) of a lion only tank.... 4 or 5 fuzzy's and 3 or 4 volitans...... but I am always concerned that I would get bored with the tank (no activity) and end up with several large lions and no home for them!

I thought that at first, but they are pretty active. They are, of course not fast, but they usually stay moving back and forth. Mainly went I come in the room, they get very active. I find it to be more relaxing them a surper fast moving tank, that's just me. It's maybe a little slow for some, but the overall size of the fish and size of the tank does get alot of attention from people.

Its always tough to get people to post tank pics in this forum. Let's see some more!!! We have like 230 views on this thread and only 2 people posting pics?? C'mon guys!!! I know there's some great stuff out there!!! Don't let all those people with reef tanks show us up
