which pod's do you think are better for pipefish and mandrians?

tiger pods or the smaller harpacticoid copepod variety

pipes can eat Tigriopus out of the water column, but mandies usually like to browse benthic critters from the LR, so harpacticoids such as Tisbe sp.. this is not to say that once a mandy "gets with the program", they won't snatch them out of the water column when they can.

another consideration is that Tigriopus califonicus is a temperate water species that doesn't reproduce well above about 68*F. what happens is at warmer temps, they produce an inordinate number of males until the population burns out.

Tisbe sp. will reproduce happily at warmer temps as long as they have some "refuge" rock piles or macro.
