best reefs around caribbean areas?

what about around the dominican republic?

You don't want to head to the DR for diving. There's one area that's decent but it's a full day trip for 2 dives if you're down in the punta cana area (which is where most of the all inclusive resorts are I think). The rest of the reefs are not protected and they're over fished, with lots of bleaching.

Places I would like to go in the carribean:
1)Bonaire
2)Roatan(Honduras) hopefully before they put in the mega cruise port
3)Belize
4)Caymans
5)T&C
6)Dominica (not to be confused with the dominican republic)
7)Bahamas, but only on a live aboard
8)St. Lucia, will be there in 8 days!!!!
9)BVI's
10)Cozumel

tankdvr- what part of St. Lucia are you going to and where are you staying? I stayed at Marigot Bay on the west side of the island and it was amazing. The dive shop the i went diving with is called JJ's Paradise if you havent decided already. Hope you have a wonderful time!

I'm going down for my honeymoon, so we're staying at the sandals regency I think ( the one with the golf course that I won't be using). I figured I'd try the resort dive op for the first day or two and if it's as bad as some of the reports I've read, we'd try one of the other shops for the rest of our dives. I think the resort is just north of Castries.

<-- I'll give you two guesses :D

Yea. My unbiased opinion is that St. Croix, U.S.V.I., has some amazing wall dives and it has nothing to do with the fact that I learned how to dive and grew up there. Antigua, however, tops my list for great dives (another unbiased opinion).;)

did you do a resort or more independent?

Check out Bonaire. It is one of the ABC islands between Aruba and Curacao. It is renowned for its pristine reefs and diving (snorkeling is also very good). It's not touristy though. Locals and divers. I loved it! Can't wait to go back
