Wanting to know some opinions...
I have a 180 SPS tank that I am currently running all T5HO over. I like the T5's, but halides have grown on me tremendously (especially after my local club's tank tour). I want to go with three 250s, probably HQI, and I would supplement with either two or four 80w T5HO bulbs for actinic.
My question is, which reflector/ballast combo are you guys having the most success with?
I have been focusing on the Lumen Bright reflector/CoralVue ballast combo or the Lumen Max 3/Blue Wave 3 HQI combo mostly because I like the larger reflectors. However, I'm not stuck on one idea or the other and certainly open to suggestions.
For bulbs, I plan on running either Reeflux 12K (or 20K) or Phoenix 14K DE bulbs.
