Best size 30 Gallon for a reef?

I was thinking about doing a conversion job on an old 25 Gal we have lying around. After closely looking at it’s condition tonight I decided against it.

Now my thought is to start fresh with a 30 Gal and go from there. My question is which of the following standard tanks work best with a reef. My 1st guess would be the 33 long since it’s shallow and the light would have less distance to travel. Bur then I guess longer fixtures would be needed. The 36” long tank would allow for standard 36” light fixtures. Mmmmmm…

Some insight would be great.

Thanks!

Personally I'd go for a 30 gallon oceanic cube. I love the look of a cube tank and it would be easy to light. A 250 watt pendant would be perfect.

i agree there is the 30G cube, the 33G cube, or even there is a 37G column tank which would work well i think, i personally have a 33G cube and i love it and its not even filled yet lol

I just bought and am at this moment setting up a 30G AGA tank IT is nice beacuse you have 3ft of length so you can do a lot. I Like it a lot. I think you will be happy with it. It is cheap too only like $45. I say use the money into getting nice equipment and livestock. I am glad I bought mine. I was considering a 30 breeder but it is too shallow for me. Good luck.
