Best SPS food

Hi, I have a ULNS with sps only the colors are very nice, I would imagine due to the chemistry and the low zooxanthallae since my NO3 and PO4 are always 0ppm. Due to the same reason growth is slow, for the past 2 months I have been target feeding every colony everyday DT oyster feast,Brightwell zooplanktos and cyclopeeze. The corals have started to encrust now, but none are growing tips. Any other kind of food you found to kick start your SPS growth? thanks

try amino acids.

I would recommend KZ's Xtra, which contains AAs as well as some elements.

KZ coral vitalizer is another good choice for boosting growth.

Oh ya I forgot I also use zeovit coral vital and amino acids.
None of you guys use coral foods?

Hope all is well!

First, I run a full ZEO System. For the first 6 months, I fed my corals almost nothing and focused purely on maintaining a 0 phosphate and 0 nitrate environment. The result is shown in the 4-30-12 pic. Lack of color and growth. I raised my Potasium to 410 and began feeding ZEO AAHC, ZEO CV, Coral Frenzy (for LPS), Reef Nutrion Oyster Feast, and Reef Nutrition Roti Feast. I got some awesome color and some new growth. I later purchased a Salifert Nitrate Test Kit and learned I had raised my trates to 10ppm! I was feeding to the point my ZEO Reactor couldn't keep up (strange. I needed to change a larger amount of the ZEO material to keep up with the additional feedings). I have since learned to feed CV Nightly and the other foods twice a week. I now target a nitrate level of ~2.

Now that I written about food, I will talk about kickstarting my growth. I use a 6x24 GEO Reactor in conjunction with an Avast Marine Works Kalk Stirrer. I perform weekly water changes. With all that said, the single most important factor combined with feeding is (Drum Roll) STABILITY! Once I had my feeding dialed in and my Calcium and Alkalinity stabilize, I just sit back and let my little frags grow. Now I have new coralites popping out on all of my SPS corals.
