yep, the kH is easy and it is a good thing because I test for it a bunch. Maybe we'll run another group buy when you guys start running low. Being my local club it is not a problem.

Thanks Jesse - the test kits are awesome. The best thing I like about it is "you get repeatable results" e.g if it was nineteen drops last time it's going to nineteen drops the second time.

Got our test kits also, with only a minor issue : all but one of the employees had no idea what I was talking about, but thankfully Jake (I think that was his name) did know, so it was only a small, short, bump in the road

I do agree that they are easier to use than some of the others I have tried, but having to shake the NO3 for 5 mins is a bit much.. gotta try to find one of those lab/medical "shaker" machine, used/cheap

Picked up mine. Exact readings as Salifert. KH 11.5 with Salifert and between 11 and 12 drops with Elos so I assume 11.5. CA 430 with Salifert and 425 with Elos. The KH is a much easier test with Elos and the CA is a bit easier too as the color change seems more precise. The NO3 and PO4 are a hassle with the 5 minutes of shaking-I'd rather have them sit for 5 minutes. Didn't check those readings against Salifert yet.

I agree. Like the KH, CA and MG kits, PH kit is avg. The PO4 and the NO3 kits are a little bit of a pain.

Like the glass vials but they are very brittle. Broke the MG vial taking the stopper out before the first use.

If the glass vial broke send me a pm of your address and I will send you out one, I have some extras. If it broke before any use it is was likely damaged before you received it. The PO4 is 2 minutes of shaking and I think you will find that you can "cheat" a little on this. Remember, we have to meet a very high standard for these tests by an independent lab and this includes the instructions. Kinda like, "don't take aspirin with alcohol". Ok that was a joke, I would never do that but you get the idea.

I don't shake for 5 minutes. I tend to get the same reading at two minutes, as I do at 5 minutes.
