I'd say the 40w Aqua UV or Emperor Aquatics.
There was a thread about the Coralife UV's rusting inside and Coralife knowing about it but not fixing or changing their design.

Having too much flow is never a problem. Just put a ball valve on the output of the pump and dial the GPH to whatever you want. You can test the GPH by having the output go (temporarily) into a 5 gallon bucket and then time how long it takes to fill. The pump will be completely fine with its output reduced by a ball valve, to the pump it is just having a little extra head pressure.

For the record, the turbo twist is a marketing gimmick. The twist reduces contact time.

That is simply regarding the fitting on the in/output. The Actual sterilizer is the same. Are you putting this in-line with your return pump?

You say "stage 2". What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
Are you trying to reduce crypto? Crypto requires a zap count of 280,000 μWs/cm² to eradicate in a single pass. You're not going to get anywhere close to that without a massive UV. How many GPH is your return running?

At this point I want to kill the algae blooms. I'm at approx 600 gph. Clarity first and then install a valve to slow flow in the UV.

I think you may be better off not running it through your return. Just run it in a closed loop in your sump with it's own pump.
For AquaUV the Classic 57 Watt @ 300GPH would get you there but I bet your ehiem is pushing double that.

Cyano and Hair Algae... when I ran UV before it really helped reduce my algae issues.

It may help a little but a UV only reduces algae in suspension. Since Cyano and hair algae are on the substrate the impact on them will likely and unfortunately be minimal.
I hate to recommend dosing the tank but many have had success with red slime removers for cyano and nutrient control for the hair algae, unless it is actually bryopsis in which Fluconazole has had great results.

This looks like hair but comes back overnight with reduced light, nutrients, 20 pct water change and gravel siphon. My guess is that it is in suspension when it spreads. The fish also pluck it all day and my algae blenny is gut loaded!
I tried raising my pH and dKH also to see if that changes any trend on its roliferation after removal. But it hasnt helped. If the UV doesn't help to reduce growth I figure replacing the gravel and rock work in stages will be a next step.

For a 120g tank a 25w aquauv should be sufficient. No need to run the 40w. That said, the Coralife is garbage. Don't waste your money. The 25w Aquauv will be much more effective. While it will likely help a bit with cyano, I don't think it will do much for GHA. I do however swear by UVs as they do have a very good impact on overall water quality and clarity and the AquaUV's are 2nd to none.
