best way to cap off bulkheads

Hello

I have a tank that is bottom drilled for a closed loop. I would like to not use these holes right now. Aside from using glass and silicone which would be a pain to remove in the future if I wanted to what is my best option for sealing the holes? I thought I using schedule 40 bulkheads and capping them. Is it best to cap inside the tank or on the underside.....or put shut off valves underneath via the bulkhead?

Thanks very much

Put a short piece of pipe in the bulkhead and then cap the pipe. That way if you every decide to change it, it's there to use, or as an advantage to the next owner.

If it's a screw-type connector, there's a regular cap made in pvc that screws on. Curiously enough, Lowe's had them, but not the connectors.

The best way to seal a hole is by siliconing a piece of ¼" glass over it, IMHO, but as noted above, it's not very easy to undo.

A bulkhead with a capped stub of PVC cemented in place will do, too. If you have the room underneath, you can have the flange inside the tank and everything else underneath so it really won't take up any room in the tank at skk
