Bi-color Blenny

Anyone out there ever have a Bi-color Blenny pecking at their SPS? I saw my BCB pecking at my green digi today and it was not liking it. By the way there was no algae on the digi at all. The green digi is all closed up from this. I am thinking about removing him ASAP. Yes he is new to this tank within the last 2 or 3 weeks. Thanks for your thoughts. Michael

He is out of the SPS tank now and into the 100 gallon soft coral tank. He should love it there. I just pulled out the rock he hides in. I was lucky. Thanks again all. Michael R

Its funny, I just picked up a bi-colored blennie from a friend who had it with 4 SPS frags, it never touched them. So I put him in my tank, and I have 2 large Gomezi colonies and it started devouring them!! It didn't go for polyps, just scraped the flesh off. You can even see the little fang looking marks. Little b@stards must just like certain types of SPS. My luck ... mine.

damn, not a thread i wanted to read. i have a BCB in my tank and i havent noticed any chewing going on. now i have to watch him and my CBB, the BCB cant go since he is my wifes favorite fish

okay, so the weird thing is today i noticed my two monti digi's ****ed off... through this forum i think we have discovered it is my bi-color blenny :( shame because he is one of my favorite fish.... now, i wont be able to do anything with him until monday...should i sjust try to catch him and put him in my sump until then? also, any tips on catching this fast as crap little SOB?

what would be a good fish to replace him with? looking for personality.... Royal Gramma? Black cap basslet? any others? thanks

how long have you had your bi color, since i have had mine for a month now and no chewing, just curious. good luck catching him.

i have had him in there for maybe 2 months.... and he had not touched any corals or my clam since i got them ( igot the corals and clam after the blenny)... he must have just started to have an aquired taste for monit digis...

very suggestive, and i have had a coral beauty that didn't pick for years then one day, sps were drawn up.

it has come down to either the gramma or black cap basslet....i like both.... have you ever had any problems with yours bothering anything?

David, you just seem to have a way with fish that like to nip SPS, Lamarck, Chromis, BCB, amongst others. What are you doing to twist these poor fishes minds? ;)
