Bicolor angel

I really reeeeaaaally want this fish! But I keep reading that I have an 80% chance of being a holy tank terror! So I would like personal opinion from actual owners. I already have a YWG, brain coral, bubble coral, and clam waiting to go into my tank, once its set up. I want more long tenticle coral, How will the Bicolor Angel be with them?

TIA

I wouldn't go for it. Putting that fish in is like gambling. Since you are planning to add more to your tank, I would not do it. That's all I can say. Personal experience

You just may get away with it if it's healthy and well feed. But you still have that 50/50 chance. There is no reef safe angel. Dwarf or large. Some people do get away with having one in their reef tank but they took that risk.

No problem I am here to help. I traded mine back for some corals when it started nipping at my button polyps. When I did feed my fish, I feed them brine and mysis shrimp ten minutes after the lights when on and 2 hours before they went off. He was fine with the corals for the first few months but then I started adding more fish and corals and as a result, the nipping began and that was the end of him

Just looked him up. Beautiful fish. I love the yellow blue contrast, that's why I want the Bicolor Angel :)

Say goodbye to your brain and bubble coral if you attempt this.

IME/O, the bi-color is the worse angel when it comes to eating corals -- with a lemonpeel being a close 2nd. While no dwarf angel is 100% safe with corals, some are a lot worse then others.

That's heartbreaking but good to know. It's so beautiful tho, and I don't want a FOWLR. Are all the fish I like, coral eaters!? Ugh. Time for more research. I have a still, need to get my LR/LS, more equipment, etc. All I really have right now is the basics lol tank, stand, heater, and HOB filter! Just the skeleton.

Like I said, some are better then others.

My venustus dwarf, multicolor and C. deborai (( think of a C. Nox that is blue )) have been pretty good in my reef tanks, nipping here and there but not too much damage (( excluding fleshy LPS, which are like crack to them )).

Ok, well thank you for the info. I won't be getting a Bicolor after all. I don't want to take the risk on my corals.
