Bio's 80g BB Deep Blue Peninsula

thanks Dan! its a bit messy but theres still a little room to grow. i am just working on my color now since the tank got a bit out of whack with my doser seizing up a few weeks ago and completely stopped dosing. but itll get there.
just picked up a gyre and new radiums this week as well which is pretty exciting

it has been just over a year since the tank was put up and its already packed! 2 weeks ago i switched from mh to an ati 48" 8 bulb t5 light so i cant comment on long term affects but so far so good. no let up of growth yet. i am also attaching a 30g frag tank to the system this week so i can tidy up a bit and have room to grow out my palys/zoas.
i managed to go to reef-a-palooza NY a while ago and saw some cool stuff as well as picked up a few.
the tank has some algae popping in as i stopped running gfo, started running carbon more passively, and also have a bit more fish load with some new additions
well start with a new FTS!

WWC Red Shortcake, WWC Blue limeade, and WWC Snowdrop in front out of focus...

Nice job............are you using LED for supplements?

I'm going to have to see your tank in person sometime soon.

thanks markalot. i did some research and the only thing i came up with was Alteuthellopsis corallina... but it was just a guess none the less based on color and body shape.

i did get rid of them. im not sure if i got on top of it early on or they only like specific coral. they only seemed to be on my tubbs pink jade and another frag... i forgot which one. but i tried interceptor and revive dips which didnt do too much. i tore out the colony and tried bayer interceptor which scared me the first few dips with the "max" dosage (10 ml's Bayer/4oz water i think it was) for the dip but it destroyed them and the coral polyps were back out within a couple hours! i set up a small quarantine for a week and dipped them every couple days. havent seen them again
