Bird nest coral?

I wouldn't think so.. if anything, you'd be damaging IT, not the other way around. Every time my rainbow birdsnest got touched--either by me or something else--the tissue was damaged.

I was doing some maintenance saturday, and brushed up against it with the bottom side of my arm (ouch). It didn't damage the coral, just my arm.

Some people are more sensitive than others, I would think that it's possible.

I find that I am more sensative to corals that others might not be could be that your body does not like this species?Hammers and f.spawns lite me up when I touch them and the same ones dont seem to bother Jena or anyone else!

No stray voltage, not a fire coral either. Just super sharp tips on the birdsnest. It's been two days and I'm still alittle enflamed and irritated where it got me(or maybe it's the other way around). Anyway, word to the wise, watch out for those sharp tips on your birds nest.

DG- no, I've never gotten any birdsnest from you. But now that you mention it. Do you have any green bidsnest with blue polyps?

I got stung by a very large hammer that fell on the back of my hand. It swelled up like a baseball mitt and sent me to the hospital. I am very respectful of them now.

We are all different and we all react differently. Thats is why drug makers say you might get this secondary reaction or in some cases it could kill you. If you ever watch that show that rebuilds home in a week there was one where the girl in the show was allergic to sunlight!! I have seen people get near poison ivy and not ever touch it and get a reaction and I have seen people hit it dead on and not get any reaction.
