birds nest??

I fragged a piece from my green birdsnest, and glued it to a plug. The way it grew, it looks a lot like that. Conditions can make a huge difference in how corals appear, and how they grow out.

Probably a Pocillopora damicornis but a similar "birdsnest" with thick branching form would be a Stylophora pistillata. I'm really leaning towards P. damicornis though.

pocillipora it (probably) is then. thanks guys!

that was what i was wondering, since stuff can color up so dramatically different with altered lighting, or grow weird because of flow! keeps life interesting, doesn't it?

That is an acro you can have some fun with because of its high tolerance to many light, flow, and nutrient conditions, also with its rapid growth it is a great indicator tank conditions.

when i turn the lights on the skeleton actually does look a bit like birds nest, maybe it's got something to to with PE?
