Z.X, it is always neat to see wildlife from a foreign land. We have lots of snowy egrets, but I have never seen one against a backdrop of snow before! Actually I've never seen snow period. :( Great work though!

Are you serious? That's insane. I had a g/f from Brazil and she said when she moved here at 16 y/o her and her brothers were out "playing" in a 1/4 of snow excited as could be.

Nice bird shots. Are you looking to start up a "bird shot thread" here or just showcasing your (nice btw) stuff?

When I was a wee lad in New Jersey we had a maid who was from Jamaica and had never seen snow. Imagine her shock and horror when the sky started falling! I remember at age 5 or 6 walking outside with her holding her hand and reassuring her that the white stuff was totally normal and happened every winter.

TS, do I need to come down there and hold your hand or are you all good? ;)

Yes, nice bird shots. I particularly like the colors and textures on the cormorant / anhinga type bird.

Ã"° opened the subject in order to we can see difference birds from the all world….
Ã"hank for the comments…

Ah, well I am not much of a birder (per say) and for sure I'll need a bigger lens if I become one! I'll rumage thru my stuff though because I have managed to get a shot or two here and there...

Jesse - love the shot of that yellow one drinking. Good timing.

The stewie bird is a King Fisher species. Strangely enough fish isn't on the menu though. It eats snakes, other birds, mice, and the like. Especially snakes.
