birth of 2 builds totaling 30k gallons

All yes drej. Protein skimmer is like 5 foot diameter and 9 ft plus tall. I've been behind Joes tanks also. I almost want to duplicate the whole system. I would think curing rock and cycle will be few months.

Just found this thread, read through it all and I am so sad that I still have to wait several months to see the finished product.

When you are ready for visitors, I would love to come down. Hopefully by that date you will have a pair of personatus that you will give in my loot bag when I leave.

This is absolutely amazing and I wish you the best of luck with it. I hope everything runs smoothly and that you have no set backs.

So, if you don't mind me asking, what were your favorite aquariums? Besides Joe Y's. Also, not to be gross or anything, but are you concerned about the smell of curing that much rock at once? Since it is in your home, you can't just wait it out like a public aquarium would, right?

I haven't been on R-C for a while, I click onto this thread, and I think I just sharted! This is just incredible! Following for sure!

Cheers, Paul.

Damn Drew. I can't even imagine that kind of scale in my house! I'll be expecting my open house invitation in my mail. Congrats and can't wait to see the final product.

Such a beautiful build this. I have been browsing through it and cannot wait to get to this level of insanity! Amazing stuff to look forward too.

Thx steelen. I'm going to try to post some updates on equipment being used but the project is going to get quiet for while as they start the new extention and dig out sub basement. I believe the rock work inside the tank with cement will also start soon. We just orderd more Marco rock.

It's really terrific of you to share this build process on the forum! Really, it's like getting an inside view of what goes in to building a public aquarium.

Just wanted to pass along another thank you for both your threads. I have enjoyed your trials and success with the pep's and this build is just intense. After it's all up and running I sense a vacation.:bounce1:

Mrdobie and nick its sort of quiet now as house is getting worked on while tank dries and seals its wrapped up. I am trying to get to storage this week and take pics of the huge sumps and skimmers. The sps reef really has to wait now cause extention needs to be built. Its going in whe wall of my office but sits in the extention which does not exist yet.

take your time and please enjoy the build. this is the best part of a tank birth. take you time and have fun that's the most important part of it. thanks for the reply...
