Used to have a mated pair of full grown Clarkii's and they would bite all the time. Pretty sure the female drew blood before.

hahaa i love that we all share the same bond of loving but hating our clowns..
My male is a pansy but if the female is chasing me down he will back her up like
"YEA THATS MY WOMEN! YEA! GET BACK! UH HUH! CANT COME NEAR MY.." **moves hand closer to him** "HONEY!! GET HIM!!" **He runs away**
But he will get brave and nip sometimes..

I had a bonded pair that every time I would put my hand in the tank the female what dart right at my hand. then I wised up and had a small Tupperware dish that I would scoop her up in every time I needed to put my hand into the tank since she was very easy to catch. And then in a very mature like fashion, I would laugh at her and tell her who is boss. And then I would laugh at myself and realize that I was talking to and mocking a fish....but at least she could not bite me from inside the Tupperware container.
