Black Cap Basslet MIA

I added a healthy Black Cap Basslet to my 90 gallon tank a week ago today and have not seen it since. The tank is stocked with a Sailfin Tang, Kole Tang, Lawnmower Blenny, Neon Goby, Mandarin Goby and a Matted Filefish.
I know that they can be secretive and hide until they are accustomed to their surroundings but I thought he would have made an appearance by now. Considering what I paid for him, I am contemplating removing all of the rocks to try to locate him and put him back into quarantine again if he is still alive. Or should I wait and let him come out when he is ready? I have been squirting lots of mysis and cyclopeze into the rock work to try and get food to him but still concerned that me may be starving, if he hasn't already.

FWIW I have a royal gramma and I didn't see him for nearly a week after putting him in. Then out he popped. Just giving a glimmer of hope. Good luck.

I have read that they can take some time to show themselves. Hence my concern, if I do start moving rocks around and it is actually just hiding, I will stress it even more.

There is no point in moving rocks, you will only find him alive and freak him out if you do, if he is dead, chances are you wont find him or the body is already gone. You should only wait longer.

Black Caps are shy, give him time, check the overflow just in case, fish have a tendency of finding ways into spaces you dont think they will fit.
