Black shoulder tangs get to 16" in the wild so expect at least 12" in captivity. If your tank is 180g as stated in your profile, that's no where near big enough. I'd say a minimum tank size should be a 300g, 96"x30" footprint.

its only 4 inches now and im going to be moving into a new house in a year with a larger tank.

That is a gorgeous fish! How is his temperament? My LFS has a beautiful orange shoulder right now that is about 5" but I am afraid my Naso would pick on it.

he seems to be fitting fine with my regal tang, foxface and moorish idol
