Hello,
I have what appears to be an injury or a disease on my royal gramma's joint between his side fin and body. That find appears to be whitish, while the other side is translucent. She has been in the tank for 2 months.
Tank is 90 gallon saltwater glass tank, started up in Jan 2019. Tank parameters are tested at least weekly.
Salinity runs at 33-34 ppm. Tested with both a hydrometer and refractometer
pH - 8.2
Ammonia-0 ppm
Nitrites- 0 ppm
Nitrates- 0 ppm
The last fish we added was a melanurus wrasse 4 days ago, but the spot has presented prior to that.
My royal gramma eats, is very active and has not changed in behavior, so is nit sowing symptoms besides the spot. However, it is possible that she has some scratches on that side, she sleeps in a small cave so may have incidental scratches or it could be due to irritation.
I have attached several pictures. Any help or treatment recommendations would be welcome.
Thanks
Michelle
