I'm assuming you mean that Banded Pipefish.
Not an easy fish to keep. Very slow to acclimate and doesn't readily accept food.
Will it survive? Depends on the care you provide and the habitat. Aggressive feeders might outcompete it for food. Coral may sting it. Typical lifespan, even in nature, isn't very long. Long term success may just be 2-3 years.
