Blackout period?

Hello all,
I've been vodka dosing my system for several months now and still have a fair amount of residual hair algae in my system plus a good amount of Valonia. I'd like to try a 3 day blackout period to see if I can knock down the pest stuff some and also weaken it to make it easier to siphon out. It's an SPS dominated system, are there any concerns I should know about? Acros and Montis should be able to handle it ok?

I just got done doing this in my system...I did three days and covered my tank with a huge sheet so no light could get in...I have mostly sps in my tank and everything was good to go didnt hurt a thing. Just make sure the day you turn your lighting back on to do it slow and slowly build back up to your regular time dont want to light shock all the coral.
