Blastomussa shrinking

Need some advice. I've had an all-red Blastomussa Wellsi for a couple of months and it was doing well. Kept it in the bottom out of current. I have 6 60" T5s over a 150G tank. I made two changes recently: 1) reduced my lights on times because my mushrooms were doing poorly (2 blue+ and 1 aqua blue were 12 hrs now 11 hrs and 2 aqua blue with 1 GE 6500K were 10 hrs now 6 hrs) and 2) started keeping my Ca near 450 ppm (it had been 375-400 ppm). The Blasto's red flesh then started shinking, exposing the calcium carbonate structures. Does anyone have recommendations as to what I should do?

Where was your calcium level prior to the change, and how quickly did you change it? What other parameters have you been testing for?

I have had a red colony that has looked great for 6 months. 4 days ago it started shrinking down. I checked all parameters and all were good. Now today it is starting to puff back up. I would leave it alone.

ryan, I increased the Ca by about 20 ppm every other day so it took about six days to elevate from ~390 to 450 ppm. I reduced the light-on time abruptly however.
