$4500 after taxes? How much was the machine? 25 cents? Those indian casinos really stink to high heaven as far as payouts usually.

But hey I'm sure it's a net profit you made, plus the tank is a bonus :D

I remember one time I was playing the "nickle" machines (and I put that in paranthesis because if you do "bet max/all lines" you end up throwing down just over $2 a shot), got a big pay out that hit 25,000.... nickles... MEH

dollar slot, but not a "mega bucks type ". It was a smaller scale progressive type deal, someone wins it every few hours or so I think.

Gotcha, hey it's money you didn't have before, and didn't lose at the casino, good luck with your tank project... and yeah Dining rooms are over rated.. Next you'll be drinking tea with your pinky finger sticking out :D

Casinos out here in Diego are'nt THAT bad on payout, compared to alot of other indian casinos in other states I've been to

Marde, your my hero:D

The tank itself is plumbed to my garage. I have NO SKILLS, no tools, and no real knoweldge how to "build a system". I appreciate all critques and feedback.

This is a picture of what the inside of my stand looks like. Wheres all the mess. HAHA

This is the inside of my garage. You can see the two 1.5 inch and one 1 inch PVC return pipes coming out of the wall in the left side of my sump. As mentioned the pipe goes through my staircase, coat closet, laundry room and the fire wall in the garage.
I know its metal and will rust over time. We had the shelves so I thought I would use em, and see what happens. I will improve the "sump" over time. The tank has only been up a few months after all!

The gray can is my auto top off bucket, Reeflo Barracuda pump for return, Geo calcium reactor, Dj powerstrips. I added two 20 amp dedicated circuits to outlets in the garage alone, and another two in the house itself.

I have a one horse power chiller, but it hardly ever needs to come on.

I am running a aqua c ev 240 and a bubblemaster 250 protein skimmer. I dont know if it is over kill, and I dont know if you can skim too much. However, I had the two and thought might as well run it since I had it. I have some live rock in the sump as well that was left over from the display.

- Nick

Come on Nick......foreplay. Just kidding. My stuff and jjfly's stuff is making one nice "start" of a decent tank. This tank just needs some time now to mature
Honestly though I have NOT ONE single pic of the inside of the tank. You know my picture skills. They are worse than my sump skills. I am trying to take some pics of the equipment to start this thread, and hope someone pays me a visit one day .
Your efflo is one of my center piece corals BTW.

Please post some pics of you Koa wood stand and canopy. We have a couple Tabora paintings that we picked up in Hawaii that are framed in Koa. Once you wrap that tank with the Koa people may not even know you have fish, not to mention a door behind your tank.

Cool !! Someone outside of hawaii that know what Koa is. The builder of the stand and canopy told me that he would never take on another project using koa again. We had to get "pieces" from several different places, it really was a nightmare for him. The "couple of days" project actually ended up taking almost 3 months to complete with all the delays in getting materials.
Yup, you called it. The sliding door is not at all visible any longer.

sure Matt we are more free these days.

Here is the only equipment under my tank.
Tunze controller that is controlling 4 tunze pumps. Vortec controller, and a controller that kicks on fans in the hood if things get to warm. Also running a reefkeeper 2 that turns on the 4 metal halide bulbs.

Really need to figure out how to "neaten up" all these wires

Two one inch sea swirls is the only "return" I am using. The tank was already drilled so I had to use what it came with.
