Blazing 7 7 7 'S

One of the first fish to go in. Still doing well! Anyone else keep a flounder long term?
Acts like a dog and will immediately approach the glass if you walk up to it. Totally unafraid of anything. Easily one of the best 25 bucks I have spent in this hobby.

Nice tank! I'm going to be setting up a 300 which has the same foot print as your tank but only 24" tall. Just wondered what the hole sizes were on the top with the bracing. Is it 4" euro-braced and how wide is the 2 main supports going across the tank.

Thanks Steve

What kind of flounder is that?
The tank is coming together nicely!

I dont know what kind of flounder it is. I would love some feedback if someone does know. They appeared in a tank in a "hole in the wall" LFS here in san diego.

I almost fell off the couch when I saw the PVC going across the top of the washer/dryer  ..................................My wife would kill me..............Imagine a scene from good fellas :uzi:

Believe me! IT cost me plenty.

Although I live about 10 miles from the scripps pier where you can get free natural seawater, I have decided to only use ro/di water in my aquarium for both water changes and top off water. I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the maxcap UHE 100 Ro/di unit by spectrapure. http://www.spectrapure.com/low_waste_systems.htm

I have it plumbed in the garage. I collect all waste water in a second bucket and water my yard with the waste.

I just cant get a decent tank shot or even a "stand and canopy shot". I will keep trying though. Here is the stand, that was custom made out of that koa wood from hawaii. Better pictures will come !

very nice marde. gotta see that thing in person soon if you are available for a visit....

I gotta come check you out too. I will send you a PM on the sdreefs board and maybe we can do a trade or something. I am off of work for the next week and will have some time !

Here is a picture of the canopy. Having a hard time getting the correct exposure. There is a large window behind it that lets alot of sunlight into the house.
The lampshade is a handblown glass piece that we bought at the seattle glass blowing company. It hangs about 20 feet off the ground. The pic does it no jusctice.

Side cabinets where built to add eqipipment and supplies. We put them on wheels so that they can be moved in and out in case we need full access to the sides of the display tank

Can someone tell me if I can keep multiple true percs in one tank, but with different color patterns on them? ORA picasso and some true percs that have alot of black markings for example

Also can I get them to host the same anemone? Like what is pictured here. I thought they where in the same tank but the guy from mystic reef said they where seperated by a glass barrier
