Bleach?

I think I've asked before, but to reinforce/refresh the issue. I've cleaned out my salt water mixing vat with bleach. It's been bone dry for about a week. The chlorine evaporates correct? It's safe to use?

I'll likely rinse once or twice more, but I should be good regardless, right?

It does evaporate. I would use cheap fresh start neutralizer to get rid of any chloramines from your city tap. just to be safe

Yup, the sodium hypochlorite in bleach breaks down and evaporates away. I'd give it a final rinse in RODI (just some on a cloth and wipe it down) to remove any impurities or even some residual hypochlorite that might not have evaporated.

For what it's worth, I wash my filter socks out with bleach every week and after an extra rinse cycle and letting them dry out for a couple of days, I put them right in my tank with no ill effects.

I wash my filter socks with about 1/4 cup of bleach, don't do an extra rinse cycle, and use them the next day. Haven't had an issue yet.

sodium hypochlorite evaporates fairly quickly. The sun makes it evaporate out quicker, which is why pools need stabilizer. So, in the summer, I hang my filter socks outside.

Jeeze, I completely disconnected. I soak my filter socks in water and bleach until they're all dirty. Then I throw them in the wash with hit water, air dry, back in the sump.
